Curriculum Vitae

I studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Antwerp. The ecotox part of my life started as I did my thesis - titled: Effects of copper on zebrafish (Danio rerio); copper homeostasis and differential gene expression - at the E,B&T lab. I graduated as a Master in 2006. By then I already knew that a nice future was in store for me residing amongst the people of this lab, as I had received an FWO grant to start my PhD. During my PhD I find myself surrounded by hundreds of zebrafish, trying to unravel the mechanisms of cadmium and temperature as separate and combined stressors to this freshwater fish.
