New ebt site launched

Today, we are pleased to announce our new EB&T website. The research group for Ecophysiology, Biochemistry and Toxicology within the Department of Biology of the University of Antwerp performs fundamental and applied research concerning key issues in environmental toxicology and adaptational biology. Major research themes concern the biological availability and accumulation of micro-contaminants, the mode of action of toxicants and mixtures and the relationship between the effects of environmental disturbance at different levels of functional organisation including molecular, cellular, organismal and ecological aspects. The research is of an inter-disciplinary nature as is reflected in the composition of the group which consists of e.g. biologists, biochemists and environmental engineers. The laboratory has excellent research facilities to study the physiological, biochemical, molecular and genetic aspects of environmental perturbation and pollution on aquatic and terrestrial organisms.
