Several members of our lab are attending the SETAC meeting in Warsaw Poland from 25th to 29th May 2008. The conference will be held at the Palace of Culture and Science congress centre and will focus on scientific and applied issues of different stressors in present World. Upcoming conference: SEB Marseille 2008

Topics will include: sorption into organic matter and biomembranes, availability of xenobiotics and metals, biodegradation rates and pathways, degradation of airborne compounds through indirect photolysis, multimedia fate including spatial and temporal resolution. Upcoming conference: Radioecology 2008
Submitted by Niko Celis on Sun, 2008-01-20 12:12.EB&T will be attending the International Conference on Radioecology and Environmental Radioactivity 2008. The congress will cover the acquisition of basic scientific knowledge as well as identifying new societal needs and requirements to fulfil. This will include predicting the consequences of all types of releases of radioactivity; industrial, (enhanced) natural, accidental and potential. Helping to design appropriate emergency preparedness routines will be another focus area, as well as supporting the development of laws and regulations that protect man and ecosystems from the effects of radioactivity.

bioassays and bio-indication at the individual (biomarkers) and ecosystem level.
